“Karunyam” Charitable society, a voluntary organization of palliative care Chavara Kollam district.

“Karunyam” charitable society was founded and registered and has been functioning since 15th August 2008, with its Head Quarters at Chavara, Kollam, Kerala, India.

Sympathy, Compassion and Charitable Services are beyond one’s duties and obligations.

Unparallel compassion and sympathy, and unrestricted and unconditional service to the miserable and suffering people in our locality is the main objective of this Charitable Society.

Founded on the 61st Independence day, this charitable society has been rendering silent but commendable Service to Palliate the misery of the suffering people, without any hue and cry or much trumpeting of the noble works.
However, as the number of the needy is increasing day by day we are compelled to increase the number of volunteers and social workers of our charitable society.

A few social workers and cultural activists of Chavara block met together at Valium Memorial BEd Collage on 15^th August, 2008, and founded the voluntary organization of social service and palliative care unit called “The Karunyam Charitable Society”

Their aim is the overall development of their village, and the prosperity of the future generation through, Social, Economic, Cultural, Physical, Medical, Industrial Scientific and technical development.
